I recently discovered the IFC series Portlandia, and fell in love from the opening scene.
Of course the humor plays on the hipster and wanna be hipster culture. I can totally relate, shamelessly I identify as a quasi hipster. I too have suffered from hipster-itis, longing to be more hip than I felt.
When I first saw the skit Put a Bird on it, I was laughing so hard. Sub-consciously that was me. Yesterday, John and I finally got up to Mt. Rose for the first time this season to make some turns. When I put on all my snowboard clothing, I instantly began laughing. My snowboard jacket has birds on it. Many birds, flying, check it out they are so free and adorable.
